If you're new to drawing and painting outside, you'll need to make a list of things you may need.
FIRST- KEEP IT SIMPLE
SECOND- BRING SUPPLIES APPROPRIATE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
THIRD- DRESS FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Suggested Materials for a quick set up and break down
Portable easel
(Unless working at a picnic table)
Sketchbook and graphite, charcoal pencils, kneaded eraser or black marker set
Watercolor set up
Watercolor paper block
Brushes should include a 1" flat wash brush, #14 mop, #10 round and #4 round for details
Natural sponge, plastic key card or utensil, palette knife and spray bottle of water
Small bottle of water with wide-mouthed container
Pastels set up
Sanded paper
Soft or hard pastels, pastel pencils, vine charcoal
Smudge sticks
Masking tape and easel clips
View finder
Rags or paper towels
Trash bag
Hat and sunblock
Water or other beverage to stay hydrated
